National Trails Day Family Hike

On Saturday June 4th at the Bingaman Nature Center, meet children’s book author and Appalachian Trail hiker Michelle Adshead as she shares her book Folly and Molly Take on the Appalachian Trail. We’ll hear about Michelle’s time on the trail, her inspiration for the book, what it means to be a hiker, and hear Michelle read her book to kids aloud before going out on the trail for a family hike. This program is geared towards families with children ages 4+ and will include a short hike so wear comfortable walking shoes. Parking is limited so please park in the main Angora Rd Trailhead lot and walk up the hill to access the Bingaman Nature Center.
