Home School Hook Ups

Join us for our monthly, structured homeschool group. The home school in November will be an introduction to different kinds of plants from trees down through mosses. It should acquaint the participants with the commonest types of plants they see in their yards and in the woods nearby. Most familiar are the flowering plants that ornament our homes or produce our fruits and vegetables, but most children also have the opportunity to see conifers, at least at Christmas time, and ferns as houseplants or outside. Specimens of all these groups of plants will be provided, and of mosses as well. The children will be encouraged to make drawing of one or two of the different types.
