FreeA biannual show sponsored by the Pennsylvania Earth Sciences Association. One hundred tables overloaded with minerals, fossils, gems, jewelry, crystals and geodes from six continents – and possibly from outer space!
FREE ADMISSION – and plenty of free parking
FAMILY-ORIENTED – younger attendees encouraged
RAIN OR SHINE – over 50 vendors indoors, outdoor tailgate section weather permitting
Emphasis on minerals: Displayed material typically runs 65 to 75 percent mineral specimens, with additional inventory including fossils, gemstones, and jewelry.
A diverse group of dealers and inventory: At the Mineralfest, dealers of high-end specimens can be found set up elbow-to-elbow with collectors paring down their collections. Show organizers have made an effort to include a large number of vendors (about 60) of widely ranging interests. Our vendors currently include species collectors, Pennsylvania locality specialists, fluorescent mineral enthusiasts, fossil experts, and avid field collectors. They bring a healthy mixture of classic and contemporary material, including some from old-time collections, and some which was field-collected only a few weeks prior.
