Boyertown, PA 19512
Exciting sights and sounds will fill Boyertown Community Park on Saturday. Here you will find a wonderful array of antique and classic vehicles. Names like Franklin, Oldsmobile, Peerless, Winton and Model “T” Ford are recalled in gleaming brass that shines from early antique autos. And the tall sparkling grilles between the sweeping fenders of the pre-war beauties are bound to catch your eye. Perhaps you will spot your favorite classic car from the ’50s, ’60s or ’70s. Whether you favor elegant sedans, post-war convertibles or colorful muscle cars you are bound to see them here. Some are heard before they are seen as the throbbing engines of dazzling street rods rumble through the park.
But don’t think that Duryea Day is only about cars, trucks and motorcycles! A variety of tasty food choices will be served by various vendors in the park. You can also sit back and enjoy the free music provided by live bands performing during the day.
Duryea Day benefits the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles and helps the Museum to continue its mission of collecting, preserving, and exhibiting our Pennsylvania transportation heritage. The Boyertown Museum, like Duryea Day, began in 1965 and continues to tell Pennsylvania’s industrial, cultural, and technological history through the lens of road transportation.
